    Vegetables play vital role in Nepali foods since typical Nepali regular meal includes rice, Dal and cooked vegetables. If you visit different parts of Nepal, you’ll find different kind of vegetables in all parts. In most of our houses, moms or sisters make meal for everyone most of the times. They prepare food every time but most of them don’t know the name of vegetables in English.

    In my house also, my mom keeps asking me, what do you call ghiraula in English? or Banda in English or Iskus in English or Karela in English or Saag in English, etc. So now I came up with the solution. Whenever they ask me something similar, I’m going to send them this link so that I don’t have to explain them again and again haha.

     Everyone knows that different languages have specific words/terms for describing things / things around us. In English, vegetables such as Cabbage, Brinjal, etc. have different names, whereas their Nepali equivalents would be Bandagobi and Bhanta, respectively. Like that, here’s the list of vegetables with their translation in Nepali.
